Project Overview
Cards Of April was a very intensive, wild and interesing project that I did in the whole month of April in 2021. It it basically a series of tarrot-like cards with a few recurring themes/elements such as 3D geometric shapes and mixing old-school with tarrot-stylized art styles.

The whole purpose of this challenge was simple: I wanted to learn a new style using Adobe Illustrator and push myself to come up with quick concepts/ideas for illustrations. And for me: the best way to learning is by doing it!

The fun thing with this, is that you can see how comfortable I get with the style throughout the month. Learning new techniques and trying out some stuff while still limiting myself with time and certain design-constrains, such as: certain elements that are used in the cards, the lay-out and the cards must switch from light to dark of dark to light each day.

All of this has been made 1 or 2 days ahead before the day that the card may be uploaded on instagram, or made on the day itself. No storyboards or sketches have been used, but a lot of try-outs and experiments were done within illustrator. I also used a few references from pinterest/instagram.
