Min. I&W | Synth. Kerosine

Animation
Project Overview
Synthetic Kerosine was an awesome project that was mainly made by Joey and me. It's about the plans of manufacturing and using synthetic kerosine in planes to try and reduce the use of the real-deal-kerosine that isn't good for mother earth.
My Contributions
I've actually worked on almost every animation-stuff that is seen in the video. Including the compositing that has been done at the end of the animation-process. The only thing that has been done by others is the shot with the kids. Those were done by Marije and Jasper.

The Process
Anjay Korpelshoek
Junior Animator
Synthetic Kerosine is one of the projects that I mostly speak high about. It was such a fun project to work on together with Joey. His amazing work on the illustrations and his vision about some shots really complimented with what I wanted to do. The process also went really great if I look back to it. Sure there was some struggle here and there, but those moments were fixed really fast.

The process was really straight forward: script > storyboard > colorscript > shotdesigns/illustrations > animating > compositing > sounddesign.

But while doing the animations for the video, Joey did some tweens on the illustrations and finishing the last few, while I was already doing a lot in After Effects. So there was some simultaneous work going around at that time. It was also one of the first projects that we've hired a sounddesigner since the Harvard project.
